UX/UI Design
Design for Change: The Horrors of ICE Detention Centers
For this project, I wanted to make an Infograph on ICE detention centers and the cruelty and abuse that happens. Since Trump stepped into office and has had ICE agents detain people, on a 3,000 arrests quota expectation a day, many people who have been detained are often times racially profiled and are U.S. citizens. Detention centers have stopped reporting the conditions and the status of the detainees, so my infograph is designed with showing how terrible the conditions are and how the few information out there is leaked.

Bloom: UI App Design
The prototype development is a project where I designed a touchscreen interface for an object which was between a pregnancy test reader, a blood pressure monitor and a compression nebulizer. I ultimately chose the pregnancy test, since I feel like compared to the other two options, pregnancies are often considered a "controversial" conversation to have mainly because of the discomfort of women's bodies. I wanted to challenge that discomfort by making an app that supports the user.

Breaking ICE: UI App Design
For this project, I wanted to focus on a social political issue that has been an ongoing issue and has gotten worse since Donald Trump stepped into office. A lot of apps that told users of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) raids have been taken down by the app stores because of the Trump Administration demanding they're taken off the app stores. Nothing about what ICE is doing is legal and goes against their policies. ICE has been reactive and violent, and most of the people that have been detained are U.S. citizens, and bystanders recording the scene or interfering are met with violence from ICE agents. The app I designed was intended to let users know of when ICE raids were suppose to happen and when they do, along with resources for where they can turn to if they are detained or confronted by ICE, and their legal rights. My app was designed to be for the people, not the government.

Non-Mobile UI Design: ATM Banking
The goal for this project was to redesign an existing UI, acknowledge the issues with the one it currently has, and the design should reflect the solutions to the issues. For this project, I chose the California Coast Credit Union, whose UI for its ATM had several inconsistencies and frustrating complications when it came to taking money out, and it was rather limited. My redesign shows the improvements I made to their UI.
