Blog Cover: Why I Stopped Trying to be Chill
For this blog cover, the writer wanted the cover to feel visibly angry with a mixture of finally breaking away, so part of the visuals was to include broken glass and sharper design, which can symbolize destroying a part of yourself with the sharpness defining what you've become. While keeping it visually pleasing without turning it into "edgy" content, I created an aesthetically pleasing cover.

For this blog cover, the writer wanted a more diva and Lizzy McGuire type of visual, and most of the inspiration came from early 2000s type of technology and UI design. Hence, for this blog, I decided to amplify the pink and the icons, especially since movies and shows from around the time often had that cutesy iconic cluster type of look.

Femininomenon Magazine Issue No.4: Love Always

For this Issue, the theme of the magazine focused on the exploration of love in all forms and sizes, including romance, family, friends, community, creativity, the world, and of course, loving yourself. The magazine focused on bringing joy and love especially now in social and politically hard times. The submission I made for the publication was not selected, however, the project explores a more raw version of self love, coming from the perspective of someone feminine. Often times women and femme people are put up against one another to compete, or are forced into boxes of what beauty should and shouldn't be. What my pages convey is that I choose to love myself regardless of what society expects me to be or do.

Blog Cover: Last Minute Halloween Costumes
For this blog cover, the writer wanted a more vintage Halloween type of look, with the color being a bright but toned orange and the rest being black. Many vintage Halloween posters are limited with colors, so for my cover, I wanted a more vintage appearance to it. Since the topic in the blog was last minute halloween costumes, I decided to use quick and easy costumes as a visual while maintaining that old tone.
Blog Cover: The Shift in Modern Punk & Alternative
For this blog cover, the writing was focused on the how much the punk and alternative scene has changed over the years to the standards, the fashion, etc. The writer wanted strong gradients instead of the traditional black and white and one color that many punk-like magazine covers tend to have.
The Look Issue No. 9: Move
For this issue of the magazine, the theme was "MOVE" which involved mixing physical activities into the fashion field. Not everything revolved around a sport, some sets included fashion simply interacting with the outside world. For my section however, it did involve fashion in the field of rock climbing. The magazine was going more towards plastic rock climbing than actual rocks, so for my part of the magazine I tried to go for an outside aesthetic while implementing an indoor activity.
