For this project, I was assigned to create the packaging for a food takeout system for local or even private food businesses. I wanted to take a more personal approach with this one and show bits of my own culture. Growing up in Tijuana and later on crossing over to visit my family, we would have a lot of michoacanas in the corner of neighborhoods, and each of them were different and family owned. Michoacánas are ice cream shops that originated in Michoacan, but have expanded throughout all of Mexico and even in some parts of Southern California. I wanted to bring a ting of nostalgia in this project.
